Welcome Picnic
Welcome Picnic is an annual MFIS event held at the beginning of the fall semester to welcome newly-arriving international students, scholars and their families. Brittingham Park, located on Monona Bay, is a perfect setting to enjoy a fall day in Madison. Each year hundreds of international visitors gather with Madison community members for a day of food, fun and friendship.

Status​​
The MFIS Welcome Picnic took place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, and it was a truly wonderful day! International students had the opportunity to connect with one another and engage with the welcoming Madison community in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who generously gave their time to help make the event a success — we couldn’t have done it without you!
