Temporary Homestays

This program allows Madison-area residents the chance to open their homes and hearts to international students and scholars for 1 to 3 nights when they first arrive in Madison. Newly-arriving students have found this to be most helpful, as it provides a brief period of rest, comfort, and initial adjustment before they move into their long-term housing in dormitories or apartments. In addition, hosts can often answer many questions international students have about life in Madison and the US.

Temporary Homestay is an active program during UW's fall and spring semesters.  MFIS welcomes requests from students arriving in Madison between August 1st and February 28th.  Both Students/Scholars and Hosts may register below.
